If you go to a hospital, you will see a room named sonography or ultrasonography. In this room, a doctor usually checks his patient whether the patient has serious ill or not. Usually, diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasonography is used commonly in the abdomen and want to see about a pregnant, a cyst, or other serious ills that are maybe found in the abdomen. After the doctor diagnosis the ill of the patient, the doctor usually gives a record of image that is printed in a form of photo. The photo here is not in a color but in a black white color. The photo explains through pictures about the illness that the patient gets or about the baby in mother’s abdomen. There are several medical abbreviations and several medical words which will be found in the photo.

Before getting the photo or the record of the patient illness or the pregnant, the patient has to undergo the checkup first. The patient has to lie on the bed and uses a blanket to cover a half of her body while the doctor prepares the equipments. The important thing before doing the sonography, you have to drink a glass of drink water in order to clean your abdomen and make the doctor easy to check your abdomen. After that, the doctor begins to spread gel on the patient’s abdomen and check the abdomen with transducer. Transducer is a thing that is needed in sonography to see the abdomen. While the doctor is checking the abdomen, he gives some explanation about the pregnant or the illness.

After all the process of sonography is done, the doctor wipes the gel and he starts to make a record of the illness or the pregnant. At diagnostic medical sonography schools, doctors learn how to carefully examine pregnant mother. For a pregnant mother, this thing is a thing that you must do to check the infant development. How old is he or she? Or maybe just to know whether your infant is health or getting a serious illness.
